The Role:
Franchise FastLane is seeking a Creative Director to lead all visual storytelling across the organization, with ownership
of graphic design, brand systems, and video production. This role is responsible for defining and executing the creative
vision that brings the brand to life across digital marketing, sales enablement, web, email, paid and earned media,
campaigns, photography, and video.
The Creative Director will inspire, lead, and manage a team of Graphic Designers and Video Producers while driving
strategic improvements in creative efficiency, consistency, and impact. This leader will partner closely with
stakeholders to translate business objectives into compelling visual narratives, guide storyboarding and concept
development, and use performance data and KPIs to continually elevate creative output. This is a hands-on leadership
role for a creative thinker who balances big-picture vision with disciplined execution, ensuring all visual content is on-brand,
high-quality, and purpose-built to engage our audiences and drive results.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy & Visual Leadership
- Own and evolve the visual creative strategy for all marketing and brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with
company goals, brand standards, and audience needs. - Define and champion a clear visual storytelling approach across channels, with a strong emphasis on
clarity, consistency, and emotional impact. - Translate high-level business strategies into compelling creative concepts, campaign frameworks, and
visual narratives. - Act as the final creative authority, ensuring all design and video output meets a high bar for quality and onbrand execution.
- Inspire and mentor the creative team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and
continuous improvement.
Graphic Design Oversight
- Lead the design team in the creation of high-impact visual assets across web, digital advertising, social
media, presentations, email, and print. - Own and maintain the company’s brand identity system, design standards, and visual guidelines.
- Establish scalable design systems and templates that improve efficiency and consistency across teams.
- Balance creative innovation with speed, consistency, and operational rigor.
Video Production & Storytelling
- Oversee all aspects of video strategy and production, including brand videos, campaigns, social content,
testimonials, interviews, explainers, and internal communications. - Partner with the video team on scripting, storyboarding, concept development, and shot planning to ensure
high-quality execution. - Ensure video content is purpose-built for each platform and audience.
- Stay current on trends, tools, and best practices to continually raise the effectiveness and production value
of video output.
Performance, KPIs & Optimization
- Define, track, and report on creative and production KPIs (e.g., engagement, performance, efficiency,
throughput, and utilization). - Use data and performance insights to refine creative approaches and optimize storytelling effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate workflows, tools, and processes to improve speed, scalability, and quality across
design and video production. - Partner with Marketing leadership to tie creative output directly to business results.
Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Graphic Designers and Video Producers through clear direction,
feedback, and growth plans. - Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to align creative work with
campaign goals and timelines. - Manage creative resources, capacity, and priorities across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a consistently high level of execution.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in graphic design, visual storytelling, and/or video production, with at least 3 years in
a senior leadership or director-level role. - Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in CPG, SaaS, or multi-location/franchise brands is a plus.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership-level work across design systems, brand campaigns, and video
production. - Proven experience managing, mentoring, and scaling creative teams.
Skills:
- Strong creative vision paired with operational and strategic discipline.
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep expertise in visual storytelling, brand development, and creative direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Proficiency in Canva, DaVinci Resolve, Riverside, Vimeo, and Frame.io is preferred.
- Experience building and optimizing creative workflows and production processes.
